Setting sail from Benoa (Bali)

It's no surprise to us that Bali remains Indonesia's most popular tourist destination; though the island is not the undiscovered gem it once was, it's still a wonderful place to travel. The beaches, spectacular volcanic scenery and lush green rice terraces lend Bali a natural beauty that seems to dovetail perfectly with the island's distinct Hindu culture, which adorns the landscape with stunning temples. We advise steering clear of the backpacker beaches around Kuta, and heading instead for the quieter south coast resorts or the charming inland town of Ubud, the spiritual centre of the island.

Don't miss

Ubud is busy but go if you possibly can, and enjoy the spiritual vibe and the beautiful scenery.

Arriving in Melbourne

Culturally sophisticated and fashionably hip, Melbourne combines edgy street art with gold rush era architecture while offering excellent restaurants and top museums. We love the upmarket beachside neighbourhood of St Kilda, an ideal base to explore the city, or you could spend a few days seeing Victoria's other attractions, such as the beautiful 12 Apostles along the Great Ocean Road, or tasting the excellent wines of the Yarra Valley.

Our tip

In Melbourne sport is of huge importance, with the Melbourne Cup and Formula One two of the key events you may wish to see. Or perhaps avoid!

MS Europa 2 - Grand Ocean Suite
Widely acclaimed as the best ship in the world, Europa 2’s stylish Nordic décor, fantastic accommodation and great dining options make her a great choice

What we love

Europa 2 really is a ship with a difference, and you feel it from the moment you step on board. Her beautiful light-flooded interiors are fresh and inviting, and the feeling of space created by innovative design is vastly refreshing. This dedication to design is not, incidentally, confined to public areas: the elegant suites themselves are a wonderful place to stay.

Capacity 500 Guests
Crew 370 International Staff
Style For the young and young at heart, the laid-back ambience is elegant but totally informal. English is spoken fluently by the crew, but you should be aware that your fellow guests may not be equally bilingual; German may well be the lingua franca of the ship (as it were).
Inclusions
  • Dining in seven gourmet restaurants
  • Extraordinary on board art gallery
  • Show productions and concerts
  • Zodiac rides
  • Excellent fitness courses
  • Exceptionally well equipped gym and spa
